Condensate Management

Inadequate drainage of compressed air condensate leads to blockages and rusting.

Average compressed air systems have at least 5 drainage points. If you install one reliable drain, that does solve "20%" of the total problem. The question remains, what happens to the remaining 80% of the condensate? Blockages, rust...

It is not sufficient to remove most of the condensed water and coalesced oil.

Condensate Management Facts:

  • Expensive cooling, drying and filtration of compressed air is senseless if unreliable drains are installed.
  • As soon as a drain fails, your 99.999% clean air system is fouled - coalesced oil and water is re-entrained, blockage and rust follow. Solid particles are captured by the filter but the much more damaging oil re-enters the air stream.
